The Runaway Pineapple is located In West End on the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras. Directions will be provided as needed. Most arrive on the island by plane however you can also arrive by ferry from Honduras, cruise ship and private boat.

Direct flights to the island are available from US and Canada arriving from cities including : Toronto, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and New York. Flights range in price from $400 to $800, depending on the time of year, departure point, length of stay and airport. Airlines traveling to the island include: Delta, American, United, Cayman Airways, and Avianca, . Please contact us for suggestions and recommendation on airfare from your location.

We would be happy to arrange airport transport for you to the lodge for an additional fee of $25 payable to the driver at pickup. For an additional $10 the driver will stop at Eldon's grocery store on the way to the lodge Please remember if you arrange your own transport you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to consistently get to our parking lot.  

Uber and similar services are not available on the island.  You can easily find a taxi by walking to the corner of the driveway/road. Most taxis are white and should have numbers on the door.  It will only cost a few dollars per person to go to West End, Sandy Bay or West Bay.  Confirm price and destination before agreeing to ride. When returning, by taxi, please have them drop you off at the end of the paved portion of the road. This allows them plenty of space to turn around and leaves you with a very short walk up the remaining hill.

If you would like to rent a car to get around without walking or relying on a taxi a 4 wheel drive vehicle will be necessary. We can make recommendations for you upon request. Be aware driving on the island can be difficult, the roads are rough and there is often a lot of traffic. Please stay in traveled areas and plan your trips ahead of time.
